This series includes reports prepared on printed forms and submitted by school officials, teachers, and parents. The reports submitted by school officials and teachers are lists of children enrolled which contain each student's name, age, and grade. The reports submitted by parents contain the name, birth date and degree of blood of each child in the family and the school they are attending.

In 1851 the Osage Subagency and the Neosho Subagency were combined to form the Neosho Agency which was responsible for the Osage, Quapaw, Seneca, and Mixed Band of Seneca and Shawnee. This agency was placed under the Southern Superintendency where it remained until transferred to the Western Superintendency in 1867.
